I'm a Contemporary Art Curator and Educator with 12+ years of doing what I love — telling stories through exhibitions, therefore educating and engaging with communities. I geek out over art history and speculative fiction, keeping my interests in learning alive
I have enjoyed working with artists, text, and research. What I really enjoy is making something tangible from an idea. I love finding ways to make collections - objects, art, or the archive - meaningful and championing the people behind the work.
I've wrangled the logistics of international workshops and massive exhibitions — we're talking 100+ artists — and somehow kept everything running smoothly. No, I do not really like Spreadsheets, timelines, and the rat race - but I have made it work.
What I have learnt is that by building the right relationships, you realise that many people care about art in similar ways. I believe I have built a pretty solid network of people who care about art as much as I do, and together we've created programs that actually reach and resonate with the public.
